5 Choc Bar pack – Customer came to us with issues on the current pack. wasn’t strong enough to do the job. We redesigned to have the glue flap in the middle to add more strength. Used a more rigid material which helped support the pack. Pack redesigned solved the problem, less wastage and actually packed slightly quicker. Added a necklock both ends for added security.

Bank related electronic give aways – High value products which required a completely blue sky look at this marketing campaign, following several meetings with ideas flowing from all sides a path was agreed to follow. Everything had to be spot on bookcase cartons that were glued to the front of the pack allowing it to be opened when folded back so the contents could be seen. A tear strip and very precise spot gluing required to make this work, also the pack needed to be glued a certain way so that when made up the cover glued correctly to the front of the carton. Braille added on all components which had to be precisely positioned. Once the carton was finished the other items insert cards, glued folded cards all with integral cut outs to house various components and all had to have precise gluing. A particularly difficult range to pull together but with a lot of input from gluing minders and packers we pulled it off.

Sea Sponge Pack – approached the customer with an idea to improve on their current packaging, Save some money and time on packing. Material used was already a GC1 white back board. We swapped it for a slightly better material with a lick coating on reverse. This allowed the reverse print to stand out more than sinking into an uncoated material. By utilising the better material we were able to do away with the front fold over section saving nearly 40% on material. By redesigning this pack and taking off the folded section we did away with the gluing, creating a further saving.

Cracker with internal security. Customer had a high value cosmetic item needed for Christmas, they wanted a cracker but found most of the current designs unable to stop the product being easily taken out. we were asked to design a pack that had much better security. We had a current square cracker with click in ends that was already pretty decent but not good enough. We added another panel which allowed for an extra tuck to be added at both ends so when the product was packed the tucks both folded down and were not able to be reached while the cracker was made up. solved the problem.
